FAQ

Common Questions

Not sure what kind of therapy I need — can I still schedule?+
Yes. Most clients aren't sure what they need when they first reach out. Tell us a little about what's going on and we'll help match you with the right therapist and approach.
Does Life Enrichment Counseling Center accept insurance?+
We accept Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield and CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield (PPO, HMO, and Federal plans). Some of our therapists are also credentialed with Cigna and Humana. We also welcome self-pay clients and accept all major credit/debit cards.
How long are therapy sessions?+
Session length depends on the service: a standard therapy session is typically 45 minutes to an hour, and initial evaluations run about 90 minutes. Your therapist will confirm the right cadence for your care.
What ages do you see at the Gainesville office?+
Our Gainesville clinicians see children, adolescents, and adults, along with families. Let us know the client's age when you request an appointment so we can match you with a therapist experienced at that age level.
I don't feel a connection with my therapist — what do I do?+
Fit matters. If your first therapist isn't the right match, let our team know and we'll help you connect with another clinician on our staff.
Are our conversations confidential?+
Yes. What you share in session is confidential, with the limited legal exceptions your therapist will review with you at your first appointment (for example, imminent risk of harm to yourself or others).
What's your cancellation policy?+
We ask for advance notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Call our Gainesville office at 703-754-0636 and we'll help you find a new time.

If you or someone you know is in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911.
